Five Benefits of Eavesdropping

Five Benefits of Eavesdropping

It may seem wild to think that any good thing may come out of eavesdropping, won’t it?

The meaning of eavesdropping is “the act of listening in on the conversation of others without their knowledge.”

Is it a communication technique rather, even though you are not part of the discussion?

Or a bad skill rather?

In whatever direction you may assume and approve it to be, here’s a shocking turnaround. An experiment that was conducted in brought results that showed that :

Eavesdroppers performed better than others in conversation and when it came to understanding and showing empathy for the behavior of human beings.

Eavesdropping can be considered wrong if applied in the wrong way.

For example, if a mother eavesdrops on the conversation of her children without their knowledge and discovers that their discussions are centered on negativity, what would she do in this instance?

She may decide to educate them against having a bad mindset and  correct corrupt behaviours.

Or she may just decide to allow them to continue till they start showing those bad attitudes before she corrects them. The second option is what she will undoubtedly forsake if she knows her duties as a mother.

The context may also be different, especially if the kids are already good and this should not be seen as monitoring.
