Fear Not! What does the Bible say about winning against fear?
F-E-A-R
That’s for the four-letter word that has spoiled so many plans. It’s small but mighty.
- Fear has destroyed countless dreams.
- Limited number of people.
- Stopped goals halfway.
- Prevented Christians from receiving the best out of their lives.
- Caused a lot of human beings to remain stagnant, not growing, just fixed at a point.
- Brought loss of opportunities and promotions. Led to chains of lost battles
It may even be more than these aforementioned phrases and sentences.
With the prison that fear can keep you in forever, God gives you a way out, he says, “Fear not!”
Your heavenly father knows that fear shouldn’t be a part of your dictionary as his child.
So, will you listen to him, and not pay heed to that voice of fear, as 2 Timothy 1:7 states, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
Or that action of wearing fear as clothing?
When you are afraid of your physical/spiritual enemies, not fulfilling a task, not doing well in your studies, or even fear of animals, and plagues that happen in the day and night, like accidents, or natural disasters, your entire life and mindset fall to being shaken all the time.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. ~ Isaiah 41:10
In this scriptural quote, we are commanded not to be fearful. Because God, who is in charge of everything, is in control and will not forsake us.
What to do in Times of Trouble as a Christian?
When you face evil, or uncertainty or are in trouble, or need, always remember that:
1. God is with you.
2. God is your hope and strength.
3. God will never leave nor forsake you during your time of difficulty.
4. God commands you to be courageous.
5. God has overcome the world, and he will help you do so too.
“Fear not!” is a common command in the Bible, used to counter “fear.”
How powerful! Meaning that for every single day in the year of 365 days, you have the authority and empowerment from God to overcome fear.
In your Bible study, remember these 10 out of the 365 verses where ‘fear not!” falls in the Bible. Use it as your strong weapon against the weakening effects of being afraid.
